Firing practice is arranged on special training ranges equipped with the following mandatory elements

- Training Range Command Post;
- Command Post (Control Center) of units involved in firing practice;
- Observation and Metrical Post;
- Observation Site;
- Technical Facilities allocating weapon and military equipment belonging to training range itself and units involved in firing practice;
- Radar Means Site;
- Meteorological Site;
- Air Target Preparation and Launch Site;
- Starting Points (Positioning Areas) for arranging weapon and military equipment utilized in firing practice;
- Helicopter Site;
- Specially Equipped Security Line Posts.

Equipment of AD Forces Training Range Command Post

Training Range Command Post includes the following workstations:
- Exercises Leader's Workstation;
- Exercises Security Support Group Workstation;
- Combat Support Group Workstation.

1. Workstation* of firing practice security support group:
- remote workstation with P-scan of radar surveillance means with radar data sources switchgear;
- radio and wire communication means with upper Command Post (Ministry of Defense);
- radio and wire communication means with local air traffic control center;
- radio and wire communication means with unit commanders engaged in firing practice (shooting officers);
- radio and wire communication means with technical firing practice leaders on each firing unit;

- radio and telephone communication means switchgear.

* - workstations are equipped with radio communication means (radar station type R-173M) and telephone sets in required volume.

Semi-natural ADMS training apparatus construction principle
Semi-natural training apparatus construction principle consists in interface of crew workplaces regular equipment simulators to computing means. Computing means provide training apparatus functioning according to ADGMS performance characteristics, display of air and interference conditions on commander' and operator' indicators, realistic visualisation of air conditions in sight of optical devices taking into account time of days and year, physical, geographical and meteorological conditions in operations area .
Possibilities of ADMS simulating - modelling system
Air defence missile battery simulating - modelling system provides coordination of all sub-units actions in single simulated air and interference conditions in real time scale. Possibilities of simulating-modeling system:- Training of a battalion command point in planning, organisation and conducting of operations on the basis of models using for estimation of operations efficiency, and also the objective estimation of a real skill level of division crews in detection of targets, controlling and firing actions;
-Application of the training-information models including the scenarios of the air enemy actions in various level of complexity, and also wide spectrum of air and interference conditions;
-Working off the most effective ways of air and interference conditions estimation, decision-making for repelling the air enemy attacks, distribution of the targets, fire control of the battalion' subunits;
- The coordination of detection, control and firing divisions actions during antiaircraft fights;
-Working off the interaction of battalion' sub-units during repelling the air enemy attacks.
